Welcome to Sisters Corner

This page is devoted to the promotion of Islamic values that Quran has revealed on our Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) as pertains to Muslim women in all walks of life. Women in Islam have an important role to play in raising an ethical family first and foremost and then contribute to the community in many fields that benefit all people.

OUR MISSION:

Working to make the sisters at the ICMC part of a lively, growing ummah through activities aimed at spiritual growth, and social interaction.

To carry out this mission, the Sisters Committee will be:

Planning, organizing, and implementing programs and events aimed at meeting the missions.
Organizing participation by sisters, as much as possible, with other programs and events hosted or sponsored by other ICMC
committees.
Providing services as necessary in support of ICMC - wide, focusing on specific duties as assigned, working together for the sake of Allah and the entire ICMC community.

ACTIVITIES

Sisters' Halaqah:

Every Thursday at 10:30 AM with Sheikh Adel. Sheikh Adel talks about different topics in Islam related to our life.

Potluck Family Night:

Last Friday of every month, is the time when all Muslims families get together, please get involve in, to be a truthful member of our Muslims community Insha'Allah. Every family should bring a food dish, dessert, fruit, or drinks. Usually, dinner serve after Maghreb Prayer.

ARABIC CLASS:
Class held every Friday at 11:30 AM with Sr. Mervet. This class will help you learn Arabic so that you can read and understand Quran in the future.

QURAN CLASS:
Quran class is every Friday at 11:30 AM with Sr. Madieha. In this class you will learn how to read Quran properly and apply all Tajweed rules. You must know Arabic in order to enroll in this class or passed the Arabic class above.
SUB - COMMITTEES:

The following are the sub - committees among sisters, their specific coordinators and brief description. we would love to see every sister at ICMC to serve on a sub - committee. Your participation is highly recommended, needed, and appreciated. Please email us at sisters@islamicnj.org with the specific sub - committee you would like to serve on.

Halaqah - Sr. Elham - Determining and coordinating topics for the Halaqah.
Potluck Family Night - Sr. Asma - Coordinating and organizing who's in charge for serving every month.
New Muslim Welcome - Sr. Asma, Sr. Elham - Ensuring that every new sister who joins Islam feels welcome and making sure that all her needs are taken care of.
e - Communications - Sr. Ula - Taking care of email communications, Sisters' Corner, and sisters group on Facebook.
Mom and Toddler - Sr. Usarin - Organizing activities for mothers who stay at home with their little children.
Sisters Care - Sr. Inas - Taking care of any needs of sisters in the ICMC community.
Ramadan and Eid - Sr. Shahana - Making arrangements for Eid, including Eid Bazaar and kids activities, Eid celebration and Eid gifts etc.
Quran Class- Sr. Ula - coordinating topics.
Arabic Class - Sr. Ula - organizing topics.

OUR NEWS

- Eid Bazaar was a great success Alhamdouallah, it was a great opportunity for Muslims' Families to congregate and share different thoughts and ethnicity about Eid.

- We just started our Quran and Arabic classes, please join us.

- Join our Halaqah every Thursday to inspire yourself and learn more about Islam, there are always new topics to talk about.
