ICMC SUNDAY SEMINAR FOR ADULTS

The Sunday Seminar for adults is held in shaa’Allah every Sunday between 10:45 AM till 1:15 PM (Thuhr prayer) with a lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 PM.

During the first period (10:45-12:00 PM), conducted by Imam Adel and Br. Hussein Hanafi, religious topics are presented with the purpose of providing an in depth understanding of Islam and its social, economical and political systems.  Topics range from detailed tafseer-al’Quran, an in-depth understanding of the five pillars, to our duties as Muslim Americans toward other fellow non-Muslim Americans will be addressed.

During the second period (12:30–1:15 PM), subjects which are of medical, political, historical, social and economical interest to Muslims are presented. Currently Dr. Mohamed El Mouelhi is conducting a series on “understanding your health” with topics such as high blood pressure and heart diseases.

ICMC Noble Leadership

Al Hamdulillah ICMC Youth is pleased to announce Noble Companionship: The Prophet PBUH & His Companions - The Best Example of Friendship. It is narrated by Abu Hurrarah that the Prophet PBUH said: A man follows the religion of his close friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend (Sunnan Abu Dawud). From this Hadith we see the great importance of seeking good company.

InshaAllah we will be honored to have our guest speaker, Br. Morad AlBarghouthi, a young, passionate, & dedicated student of knowledge join us in taking us on a journey from some beautiful examples from the companionship & brotherhood that existed in the earlier generations of Islam. InshaAllah through the lives of the Prophet PBUH & his companions, we will extract many practical benefits that can help strengthen our brotherhood & sisterhood for the sake of Allah SWT.

The Event will be on Friday, March 25, 2011 at ICMC and will start 7:00 PM.

Please attend and bring family & friends.

  • “Patience & Gratitude – the two wings of the believer” presented by Dr. Islam El Feyoumi on Friday December 3, 2010 @ 7 PM.

As the believer travels through life, he faces many trials & challenges throughout this journey. At the same time, the believer enjoys the many good things that this life has to offer. When something harmful afflicts him, it only strengthens his Iman, and he is patient with what Allah SWT is testing him with. When he is blessed with something good, he turns to Allah in gratitude. It is as the Prophet PBUH said “Wondrous are the affairs of the believer. His affairs are all good, and this is only the case for the believer. When something pleasing happens to him, he is thankful, and it is good for him. When something harmful happens to him, he is patient, and it is good for him.” (Sahih Muslim)
